Yesterday, we arrived in ABQ. Amazingly, it was raining and rained quite a bit. Today, we made it out to the Sandia foothills and did some hiking. It was absolutely awesome and a welcome break from the monotony and busyness of Illinois. Today was a beautiful day, as you can see from the pictures. We originally headed up into a valley with the hopes of making it over the first line of foothills, but the trail ended, and we couldn't find another way over them. I (Jason) tried climbing up one gully and made it almost to the top, but it was too over-grown and steep.
All-in-all it was a great time and very relaxing. It's amazing to think that it's virtually going to be in our backyard.

You're moving to Albuquerque? I have an amazing friend whose husband is the Nav campus director at UNM. Her name is Leigh Ann! Would love for the two of you to connect. Email me at drewandstacy.frazer@gmail.com
