Colorado Trip

This past weekend we got to travel to Colorado, to attend the wedding of Jordan and Elmarie (now) Bendinelli. Elmarie , Glenys and Lizelle and I all went to the same school in S. Africa when I went there, so it was a great reunion. Sorry some of the photos are kinda dark.Elmarie

On the way back on Sunday we got to meet up with Jason and Kimberly at the Denver airport, who were also out of town for the weekend, for a little chat.

New Hair Picture

More news!

As most of you who have come to visit J and I in our apartment already know, 550 sq feet for two people(one who has LOTS of art supplies and one who has MANY computer(s), electronic gear and equipment) it's not really that much room!

We decided to look for a new apartment that is still relatively close to school for Jason(within biking distance) and work for me and found one really good option.
We got to have a look at two remaining units toward the end of last week and praise God that we were able to get approved and accept one of the last units available.

We will be moving in to this new apartment at the end of July and are SO EXCITED!

Some of the new and very cool features of this apartment will be:

a garbage disposal- no more gross sinks with funny drains and plugs
a dishwasher!-my hands are going to be nice and soft again :)
a dining room area- we can finally have room to have a table without having to move our living room furniture first!
new kitchen laminate flooring- our old laminate flooring use to chip and break they are so old! gross!
double the amount of kitchen space and new appliances-no more plastic shelving systems!
a larger second bedroom-one that is actually big enough to have a bed in it- no more sleeping in the living room when you come to visit!! :)
and...
an extra 385 sq feet of apartment-amazing!!

We praise God that he has provided this new 'diggs/cribb' for us and we can't wait to move in and enjoy all the above mentioned new blessings!

Just felt like blogging :)

Tonight I just felt like blogging :)
The painting from above is one from the images taken in Curacao and is getting closer to being done.

Below is the first 'sprouts' of our basil, bean and 'red-lightning' tomato seedlings, I was VERY excited about them coming up- almost like having a pet(I miss having real pets, as you can tell :)

The rest have not emerged yet, but I am hopeful that all will make it, eventually.

So, this past weekend I got a coupon for a $4.99 haircut in the mail and decided I would go get my hair chopped short, hopefully a fun, pretty, do that can last the summer.

It ended up being a bit shorter than what I had wanted(it did only cost $4.99), especially in the back, and I had to keep reminding myself that I DON"T look like a boy.

I'm a bit more use to it now and think I will really like it in a week or two.
Here is a rather bad picture from this weekend and I'll post a better one when I'm dressed up.

More Gardening...

Jason and I got some more containers for our container garden and planted, pablano peppers, and a variety of colored belle peppers and some lettuce today. We had the first of the basil and bean sprouts come up this week too.

There are four different types of cool colored tomatoes and also beans and two different kidns of basil so far.
